Our last two days in Yatsushiro. First, the farewell dinner we attended with two guests each from our host families, and second, a day spent with Brandon and Yoko.

Heather Meadows > We went out to see where Yoko worked, at a store selling children's products. For some reason, the proprietor wanted us to pose for pictures with this cute Kitty-chan paddle.

Heather Meadows > The front of Yoko's work, and a few of her friends. There was a small boy at the shop too, the child of the proprietor. He was really shy, so to make him feel better I gave him the tiny Kitty-chan charm that Kuni had given me back on the 777 steps. I was kind of glad I gave it to him, because he really seemed to like it, but at the same time, I kind of wished I still had it.
Heather Meadows > Yoko and two of her friends and I went shopping together, and we stopped to eat a jumbo parfait. We were going to go ahead and do dinner, but discovered that Okaa-san was preparing something special for me, since this was our last night together.

Heather Meadows > In what appeared to be a standard ritual, Yoko's friend finished off the parfait.
Heather Meadows > The surprise dinner was delicious sushi again. I guess I didn't take any pictures of it that time. After dinner Yoko and Brandon and I went to the game center and met up with a bunch of Yoko's friends.
Heather Meadows > We ran into one of the girls from IEC!
Heather Meadows > Everyone was getting photostickers made.
